The biggest mistake in fighting diabetes?

Chances are, if you have type 2 diabetes, you’re overweight.

But being overweight isn’t the cause of diabetes. Although it’s easy to see how it goes hand in hand (have a look at this post to see how).

So a lot of folk work on the misconception that losing weight will fight their diabetes. Of course, losing weight is never bad thing, but here’s the problem:

If you choose to go on a low fat diet (as a lot of folk do), you’ll probably replace those fat foods with carb rich foods – and that’s bad new for your diabetes.

Switching to all those carbs suddenly gives you a high GL diet, which is the last thing you want.

But in the same light, you don’t want to just stick to high fat foods like diary and red meat.

The trick is to get your head around the different kind of fats, so you know which ones are the good fats, and which ones are the killer fats.

And knowing what else you can do (outside of your diet) helps too – have a look at these 5 simple ways to see what I mean.
