First things first: I’m not a doctor – I’m not even a health professional in any way. So why did I start a blog called ‘forty something health’?
Well, for me, forty was the age when I started falling apart – or rather, felt like I was falling apart.
Aches and pains came along too often. And the more they came, the less active I became.
Then, as the years ticked by, I could see type 2 diabetes raising its ugly head.
No surprises there – when I hit forty I was 51 pounds lighter than I am now. You can see the way this is going.
But I’ve always been interested in health (well, mine) so I thought it was time I did something about it.
That’s how this blog came about. Because there’s way too much info out there for someone as simple as me, I make notes. If I see or read something that strikes a chord with me, down it goes.
And that’s all this blog is – my notes.
Fending off diabetes, arthritis (I’ve already had one hip done) and clinging on to my health by my fingernails keeps me busy enough in my spare time (I don’t get a lot, I have another blog too).
I hope they help you out or out least shed light on something that’s got you worried.
Al.
PS Make no mistake – I’m NOT a health professional in any way, shape or form. Clear? Good.
